Dangerous drivers think there work vehicles are weapons

I had an extremely dangerous experience involving Downer staff on Brougham Street at around 10:13 PM on 11/12/25. One traffic controller had their lollipop sign lying on the ground and only picked it up at the last second, suddenly turning it to STOP and forcing us to slam on our brakes. When it was time for us to proceed, they threw the sign down and walked away instead of clearly indicating GO. They had a disgusting attitude and clearly weren’t happy to be at work. As we entered the intersection at Brougham Street and Colombo Street, a car came at high speed from Colombo Street and nearly collided with us, nearly killing me, my partner and our dog. This happened because the Downer traffic controller on the Colombo Street side had their sign resting on a fence and was not paying attention, completely failing to stop traffic. This was a serious failure of basic road safety and could have resulted in multiple fatalities. The behaviour was reckless, unprofessional, and showed a complete disregard for public safety. I made a formal complaint to their complaints department with no response and followed up again, but Downer never responded. Absolutely unacceptable. This is a arrogant, disgusting company.

No Stars whatsoever for the service that New Brighton gets.... Council blames you guys..you guys probably will blame CCC. In meantime the rubbish around New Brighton is being cleaned up by residents sick of the mess. Out of interest who IS supposed to empty bins in The Whales Park....
