We engaged Grant at Geo Builders to undergo a substantial renovation to our property in Papanui. It including an extension to the footprint as well as full deconstruction and rebuild, going from a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house to a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom property. The workmanship of Rob the foreman and his team have been top class. The build took 12 months inline with our expectations. Grant was happy for us to work in with our own painters and decorators, tilers and electrician which was beneficial. I would highly recommend Geo Build Ltd for anyone embarking on a new build or an extensive renovation.

Never built before. We thought we were going to be guided through the process. Started off feeling like we were in the best hands for what we wanted to build. Worst experience. Huge Lack of communication. Loss of trust. Please do your research THOROUGHLY before signing anything, I wish we did. Such a shame.

Engaged GEO Builders to build a residential house on the recommendation of my architect. The initial interaction and consultation from Grant was very positive. However after the contract was signed in May 2022, there was an immediate, unexplained delay of three months. I am now into the third year of an eight month contracted build, and still have not got my council code of compliance. To be clear, the actual building work was done to a good standard. However, the speed of work was very slow but worse, the communication has been terrible throughout. Emails and txt messages go unanswered, phone calls go unanswered and messages are not returned. The GEO Builder crews stopped showing up on site in November 2023, and have started work on other presumably more profitable, projects. Despite many promises to finish the outstanding work, Grant has simply failed to deliver, doing just enough each time to prevent triggering the disputes process in the contract. I don't believe this is the result of any malice, but simply a lack of project management know how and an inability to run a small business. I would be very, very careful before engaging GEO Builders to undertake any substantial work. I would also recommend that you ask around at various builders merchants as to whether or not they are willing to do business with them before you sign any contract.
