While they haven't built us a home (yet), we re-designed their website and have read so many amazing reviews and seen the details of their projects and how happy their customers are in the process. We are delighted that Richard, Hannah and the HAMR Homes team were recommended to us. They have been easy to work with from the very beginning of our discussions. Richard assured us of his honest no surprises approach and kept his word. Both he and Hannah demonstrated great integrity in their approach with suggestions to support the build, choices of materials and working with our design choices and selections. Our build got off to a rocky start following the severe weather conditions at the beginning of 2023, even involving the halt in works due to closure of the BlackJack Road to Opito. The team worked hard and made up time completing our build only a few weeks later than expected. The workmanship, attention to detail and finishes to the house are second to none ! Richard is so well respected and this is evidenced by his working relationship with his sub contractors who all equally provided excellent services. Richard, Hannah and the HAMR team were unreal for us. They built our brand new family batch in Whitianga during the peak of the price escalation period Post COVID. A very challenging time for builders. We can honestly say they worked tirelessly to keep our project on time and on budget. Right to the end with the lawn and gardens. We live in Napier and we only say the project once during the build. We never felt worried. Their communication through co-construct app and all the photos were awesome. Richard was involved with the build from the start during the design phase with the architect (Studio77 in Whitianga). This was invaluable. Getting the builder involved right at the start is absolutely the best way to go. We have done a number or projects now and firmly believe that is the answer. Our project was delivered on time and on budget. We really value the experienced team, especially when it came to making changes in spec. They have an eye for detail and design, as well as being skilled craftsmen of their trade. The subcontractors were well managed and tidy. We would certainly use HAMR again. They were awesome.

We had an awesome experience with Richard building our much-loved holiday home. He is a great communicator, a skilled craftsman and the sort of perfectionist you want in charge of your build! At the time, it was a huge amount of money for us to spend and it turned out to be a very tricky building site. Richard made sure we got the best possible outcome at every step of the process (including our home collecting a Gold Master Builders' Award) and we can't thank him enough. Sixteen years later, we are still delighted with the quality of the build. Also lovely is that Richard still takes a keen interest in our home and helps us manage maintenance jobs so that it stays in top-notch condition. We absolutely recommend HAMR Home for great people, superb workmanship, and outstanding results.

Richard made the beach house I purchased, which had just been remodelled by Hamr Home, fully wheelchair accessible. It involved retro fitting a through floor lift, bathroom modifications, decking and ramp, fencing and bedroom expansion. Richard, Hannah and the building team were excellent, and I am very happy wheeling around my accessible house. The remodelling, re cladding, re roofing and decking undertaken before my purchase are also excellent, making the house as new, and one of the best on the beach. Thanks Richard!
