Master Builders - Auckland

We love the team at Master Builders, especially Julie and Tess. They really go the extra mile to look after their members and are so easy to deal with. We had the best time at the House of the Year awards through our company Lewis Build, which were so expertly organised and run. Highly recommend this company!

At $350 for a mere name change when acquiring a home previously covered by this organisation, it appears to be excessively costly, particularly since you receive only a PDF via email. Upon scrutinising the coverage details, it becomes evident that there are several clauses that might potentially lead to coverage being denied. I would not recommend investing in this dubious service.

Master builders is a RIP OFF. Our clients choose us as they wanted/needed a 10yr guarantee for there build and the bank and master builders declined it. Really want to cancel our membership as its a total waste of time. Currently looking at other memberships that can actually provide a service they say they can offer!

Don’t bother, they won’t help you and will take months to tell you so. They don’t hold their “masterbuilders” to account, and don’t actually have any power to follow up and achieve anything useful for homeowners. Absolutely useless and an utter waste of time and money. We will not buy a home again that is associated with this scam of a company.

If I could award zero stars I would. Master Builder Guarantee is not worth anything. Our builder went broke and MB took three months to decide that would not help us at all. During this time we have had to pay thousands for Air bnbs. There is absolutely no advantage to have a MB Guarantee - it does not cover the client in any way. I have since been told by several other builders and architects that MB always try and weedle out of paying clients when they submit a claim. Useless.
