A chance meeting with Marty in 2021 led to us buying a section in Amberley, selling our house in Wellington, deciding on a house plan and watching our new house take shape. While a bit stressful for us, Marty put us at ease by answering all our questions either by phone or email and we coordinated a few trips south to see various build stages. A good decision Deciding to downsize and build a smaller house can be challenging, Having had 5 previous homes built for us, we sought a builder with a positive reputation and experience in the current construction climate. With the above in mind we established a strong relationship with Marty Murchison, who, went above and beyond to assist us in the selection of an appropriate section. He worked closely with us and his interior design teams to make adjustments to an existing house plan in order to meet our requirements. With a commitment to proceed; Marty with his exceptional project team, and highly skilled sub contractors delivered to an agreed schedule, and to the highest quality. With weekly scheduled progress meetings and commitments for progress payments we took ownership ahead of schedule and to a very high standard of workmanship. This experience with Marty and his team has been outstanding, and has to be the best ever.

Stress-free build. We met so many builders but it was only after we met Marty that we had an instant connection with him. He knew exactly what we needed and always delivered more than what we expected. We started building when we were 6 months into our second pregnancy and cannot emphasize enough on how stress-free the whole process was. Marty and his team were always there when we needed them with excellent advice and always on time. We would never recommend anyone else on doing a better job.

My wife and I had decided to move north to Christchurch and visited various towns on the outskirts before visiting Amberley and then we just happened to drop in on Murchison Homes and meet Marty. His enthusiasm shone through and before we knew it we decided to purchase a section and work with him to build our new home.Having built with another disaster builder in Dunedin just a year prior we were very conscientious about being let down, but could see Marty was totally upfront and committed to his clients and high customer service. He loves his business and with his excellent project manager Aaron kept us in the loop on a weekly basis on our new home that we asked to be built. Nothing was too much trouble and our new build was built bang on schedule to a high standard with no stress at all. Since building Marty has become not just our builder but a good friend and like other moving to the area we meet regularly for drinks and chats whilst enjoying our new lives in Amberley.
