Had a great experience with Oakridge homes building our house in Rolleston. We were kept up to date from the team and through an app with plenty of photos along the way of the progress which was cool to watch. House got finished on schedule and right in time for our tenants to move in.

I purchased my first home with Oakridge Homes and the whole process was super simple and easy. Firstly, Greg the sales consultant was very helpful and accomodating through the initial part while I was looking at Oakridge's properties, sending me all which suited my budget/specs I was after. He was also very accommodating with the sales agreement while I sorted finance. Throughout the build I was regularly kept up to date with the property through Buildertrend (examples of the photo updates attached). Not only were the photos useful, but it also is a hub where all of the documentation for the house is too, and I could see things being signed off as the house progressed. I had my pre-settlement inspection today before settlement tomorrow and the outcome of the house was great and the quality was excellent. I bought my home through Oakridge just over a year ago. The house itself has been very good, well built, comfortable, and supported by excellent after-sales service. Based on the build quality alone, I would recommend them for first homes or investment properties. My main disappointment relates to the land covenants attached to the section. I was not clearly made aware of a restriction requiring the fence to be built 1.5 m inside the boundary, which reduced my usable backyard area by more than 25 m². I chose one of the larger sections available at that time, but because of this setback, I ended up with less practical outdoor space than some smaller sections nearby. The house is great, but clearer communication about key land restrictions would have made the overall experience much more positive and helped me avoid the financial impact.

We had a fantastic experience with Oakridge Homes building our new investment property in Christchurch. They were professional, efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing every step of the way. The quality of workmanship was excellent, with great attention to detail throughout the build. Me and my wife built our first rental property through Oakridge Homes and even though we don't live in Christchurch the communication was excellent. Updates and timeframes were given throughout and they made the process very easy. We definitely recommend using James and the team at Oakridge Homes. We will use them again in the future.
