I’m happy to do a review of Summit Homes NZ. I was fortunate enough to have walked into a show home of Summit Homes after looking for the right builder for our first build. I wanted someone that would help us with choosing the ideal home. I met Tony Clark (The owner of Summit Homes) at the show house and he made it so easy to choose our build. He explained everything to us. From the start to the final product. He made us feel like we were friends and now after 5 years, we are still friends. He still cares for our happiness with our home. Something that I couldn’t believe was when he said that he could build our house within 12 weeks. But he proved me wrong. My house was completed in 10 weeks. That helped us enormously because I didn’t want to pay interest on the mortgage while I was paying rent. And this was the deal maker. The quality of the house is of the highest. Excellent finishes. Building with treated plywood was a comfort as it insured a quality build above the rest. I can proudly say that I am absolutely impressed with my house. If you’re looking for a quality builder to build your biggest investment, I can recommend Summit Homes NZ. I would, without doubt, use them again in the future. Tony didn’t build us a house. He built us a home. Well done!!!

A bit late with this review, but the extra time has only confirmed the quality of our home. Nearly two years in, we’ve had no faults and the build has held up beautifully. Communication during the process was excellent. Carolyn Lockstone kept us well informed, and the tradespeople and contractors worked seamlessly to get us in just before Christmas 2023!!! Overall, a smooth and professional experience. We’re very grateful for the team’s hard work and highly recommend them.

We were wanting to move out of Auckland and down size and decided on Pokeno and build a house that we could put our stamp on. We looked at different build options and visited Summit Home Showhome which we were really impressed with the quality and detail of finish. On meeting Tony and Melissa we felt very comfortable in discussing our goals of what we wanted in our home. We made some changes to the plan, decor and fittings which they had not done in their builds before (which Tony and Melissa where exited about). The lines of communication were excellent throughout the build and were open and reassuring. Summits undertaking was to have our home completed in 12 weeks, they did it in 11 weeks. The end result was that our home won a Silver Medal Award in the House of the Year Awards in our category. The most important thing we experienced building with Summit was Tony and Melissa listened to what you wanted in your home and offered their suggestions without putting any pressure on you. We would build again with them if the opportunity arose again and highly recommend anyone thinking of building they should definitely visit or contact Tony or Melissa at Summit Homes. We were pretty nervous taking on a renovation of a 100-year-old villa that was in rough shape, but we didn’t need to be. Summit Homes absolutely delivered, on time, on budget, and with top-notch workmanship. They might be best known for new builds, but our extension and renovation were finished to the same high standard. From design right through to the Code Compliance Certificate, they took care of the lot. The team was friendly, easy to deal with, and really knew their stuff. Couldn’t recommend them more, whatever kind of build you’re doing, you’re in great hands.
