About Tamakuku Terrace
Tamakuku Terrace is a residential subdivision in Whakarongo, on the edge of Palmerston North, offering sections and home and land packages. The development is positioned around open space and views toward the Tararua and Ruahine Ranges, with a focus on creating a community of new homes within an easy commute of the city.
The website highlights day-to-day convenience as part of the location: a short drive to supermarkets and suburban shops, plus walking distance to Whakarongo School and Cornerstone Christian School. For buyers weighing up lifestyle versus access, that places Tamakuku Terrace in the category of “out of town feel” without being remote.
The name Tamakuku Terrace was developed in collaboration with local iwi Rangitāne, referencing Tamakuku, the chief encountered by Whatonga on arrival in the Manawatū (from whom Rangitāne trace their descent). Online feedback is limited but positive, with a 5.0/5 Google rating from 3 reviews.

it's an excellent place to take the dog for a walk in the park like grounds. there's still plenty of rabbits to chase but I don't think he'll ever catch one. I'm not sure how much longer this will last as houses are being built on the sections now.
Very cool subdivision
Park like grounds, community feel, safe
