Avoid This Builder – Extremely Overpriced and Stressful Experience Our experience with Woodford Construction was nothing short of a nightmare. We ended up paying around $260,000 over the contract price, largely due to unexpected and poorly communicated “variations” that were presented after the work was already done. There was no transparency, no proper approval process, and no control over costs. Communication was poor throughout the entire build. We were often left in the dark, and when issues were raised, they were either ignored or poorly explained. The most stressful part was right before handover. We were told we couldn’t take possession of our own home unless we paid all outstanding invoices immediately — including disputed charges. To make things worse, the house wasn’t even finished at handover. Overall, this has been an exhausting and upsetting experience. What should have been an exciting milestone turned into a financial and emotional burden. I would not recommend Woodford Construction to anyone. I wish I could give 0 stars
